September 2000 – Alexandria, VA – Freelance copywriter Brian Dean was engaged by DC agency The Ad Store to write Point of Purchase cards for the DC Lottery. The campaign strategy is to urge consumers to buy lottery tickets as holiday gifts. The creative takes a very humorous approach to the holidays spent with family. Brian Dean engaged a freelance art director to execute all of the designs.
July 2000 – Freelance copywriter Brian Dean was contracted by ad agency Williams Whittle to write web copy and promotions for AutoSmart. This new startup offers customers smart chip technology that logs all car service and repair information.
May 2000 – Alexandria, VA – Dean Creative is established as a freelance copywriting / broadcast production service. Freelance Copywriter / Creative Director Brian Dean has created work for national accounts at advertising agencies in Pennsylvania and Ohio since 1990. Brian was recently employed three days a week by “The Ad Guys” in Alexandria. He decided to go freelance to work with a wider range of clients across the DC Metro region. “It feels great to finally break free from the Matrix”, said Brian when reflecting back on his 10 years working for ad agencies. “Now I can offer creative services to smaller agencies and design firms that don’t have senior talent on staff that have broadcast experience.”
